Divisional Director - Senior Account Handler

Overview;

The Divisional Director of the Aviation Department will perform a diverse array of functions that will include, client management, market liaison, operations and team supervision.

Working closely with the Head of Division to spearhead the effective placement of risks and management of the aviation portfolio, maintain and develop client relationships, nurture market contacts and contribute to the overall growth of the account and achieve the performance targets of the departmental business plan.

Role summary;

  • Assist in identifying new revenue streams and win new business
  • Understanding risk and the client's requirements
  • Designing appropriate cover structure
  • Providing guidance and support to clients
  • Identify suitable markets and insurers with appropriate appetite
  • Devise the most effective placement strategy
  • Provide input into preparing market presentations
  • Negotiate with clients and insurers
  • Coordinate the placement process
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes, file management and compliance.
  • Produce, analyse and report on premium, brokerage, claims, renewal data
  • Lead and manage 4/5 staff

Essential skills;

  • Technical experience within international aviation insurance risks
  • Exposure to the Lloyd's market and relevant insurers
  • Client servicing and development skills
  • Team leadership experience is desirable
