We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic European Finance Manager to join our client's talented team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to take the next step in their career within a thriving and forward-thinking company.Position Overview:As the European Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day financial and commercial activities across Europe. Reporting directly to the Senior Finance and Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for reviewing and challenging financial and management accounts, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. Your insights and analysis will support operational teams in making strategic and informed commercial decisions.Your responsibilities as the European Finance Manager will include:
  • Oversee the financial operations for multiple European entities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.
  • Review and analyse financial and management accounts, and report variances against budgets, instruct corrective action as required.
  • Partner with European teams to support commercial decision-making, offering financial insights and strategic advice.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and driving cost efficiencies.
  • Ensure robust financial controls are in place and continuously seek to enhance processes and systems.
  • Lead and mentor all team members.
  • Provide comprehensive support for customer finance matters, including resolving queries, assessing credit viability, attending review meetings, and assisting with financial reporting and analysis.
To be considered for the role of European Finance Manager, you will require:
  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is essential.
  • Proven experience in a similar finance management role, preferably within a multinational organisation.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end finance function form AP/AR/GL to MA reporting and financial forecasting.
  • Experience dealing directly with clients, especially conflict resolution.
