This is a newly created role within a leading App marketing agency. Due to continued growth and winning new clients, this small but thriving agency is looking for an experienced Finance & Operations Manager to join their lovely team.

With an enviable list of clients, from start-ups to established businesses, this multi award winning agency works on a global scale and supports every stage of the app growth journey from launch through to scale and transformation. Whether its optimisation, user acquisition or creative design this business has become a go-to agency!

Joining a small and friendly team, this role is looking for an individual who had previous finance experience, ideally gained within a Marketing Services Agency or Media company. This is a varied and interesting role that will see you involved in the day to day responsibilities of the company finances but also have some operational responsibilities. The role will be a split of 80-90% finance and 10-20% operational duties.

To be a suitable candidate, you will either be qualified or nearing the end of your accounting qualifications. You will be a friendly, collaborative and helpful individual who enjoys working in a dynamic and creative environment and is not afraid to roll your sleeves up and take on extra responsibilities as you settle into the role.

This is a hybrid role that will require you to be in their lovely Zone 1 office at least 3 days a week.

Responsibilities of the role include:

Finance

  • Manage and develop one member of staff
  • Month end reporting duties to include accruals, prepayments, deferred income etc
  • Involved in the preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • Income reconciliation, comparing actuals to forecast
  • Update the monthly cost budget for review
  • Assist with the development of the commercial reporting to include client profitability and revenue dashboards
  • Assist with the reforecasting and annual budgeting
  • Manage the monthly payroll schedules for review and submission to the outsourced payroll provider; then execute payments
  • Oversee the management of the Accounts payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers;
  • Debtors & collections Management;
  • Approve and execute all payments (bi-monthly)

Operational

  • Manage the employee HR portal to include: starters & leavers, sickness, holidays, absences
  • Manage the external IT provider relationship and internal IT equipment requirements
  • Initial point of contact for all repairs, maintenance etc
  • Manage, plan and organise company events, socials and Xmas party
  • Manage all office supplies and requirements

Candidate requirements:

  • Ideally qualified or towards the end of studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent); A QBE with extensive agency background will be considered.
  • Relevant previous finance experience ideally gained within a Media Agency or similar environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can-do attitude, flexible, adaptable and able to meet deadlines
  • Great team player, able to work in a small team environment and willing to take on other responsibilities when required
  • Highly organised, great attention to detail and likes to see things through
  • Friendly, approachable and self motivated.
