Sterling Williams are currently working with an International Bank based in the heart of the City of London who are looking to hire a Deputy/Assistant Manager in Finance.

Reporting to the Head of Finance in the bank, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the effective operation of month end accounting processes in accordance with the agreed month end timetable
  • Production of monthly management accounts
  • Oversee end-to-end financial operations within the company
  • Consolidation of monthly financial accounts & feed into Board pack
  • Carry out the month end closing ensuring all the manual entries have been posted
  • Month end closing and preparation and submission
  • Offer insightful MI on spending trends & cost-saving
  • Assistance in Annual Budget and Business Plan preparation
  • Managing MI Pack preparation for ALCO, Management Accounts, etc.
  • Preparation of our annual financial statements. You will be responsible for compiling and analysing financial data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Preparation and submission of Quarterly VAT returns
  • Preparation of Corporation tax submission pack
  • Preparation of Section 17- BBSI return

The successful candidate will likely be/have:

  • Fully qualified or Part qualified or holder of equivalent qualifications (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Minimum 6 years experience working within a Bank, or the Financial Services with experience in management and financial accounting
  • Strong numerical skills, and attention to detail and ability to work in a team of c8 staff.
  • Ability to work in the office. 5 days a week, for at least the first 3 months.
