Finance Business Partner - 12-Month ContractLocation: Kings Cross | Sector: Not-for-Profit

Are you a finance professional looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the not-for-profit sector? My client, a growing not-for-profit organization based in Kings Cross, is seeking a Finance Business Partner to support them through an exciting period of expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and monitor salary forecasts, collaborating with budget holders to address any concerns.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly consolidated management accounts to budget holders.
  • Review and validate budget holders’ forecasts for accuracy and reasonableness.
  • Process and update monthly amended forecasts as provided by budget holders.
  • Draft monthly financial reports for the management team based on the latest accounts.
  • Support budget holders in managing their budgets, resolving queries, and providing additional financial insights.
  • Ensure restricted funding is appropriately allocated, spent, and recorded in compliance with guidelines.
  • Develop and communicate a budget timetable in coordination with the Director of Finance.
  • Provide financial guidance to budget holders during the annual budgeting process.
  • Input final profiled budgets into the accounting system with precision.
Experience & Skills Required:
  • Previous experience in the not-for-profit or charity sector is highly desirable.
  • Actively studying for a recognized financial qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Strong Excel skills, including proficiency in lookup tables and SUMIFS functions.
  • A proactive, "can-do" attitude with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Confidence in engaging with colleagues across the finance team and the wider organization.
  • Passion for maintaining a clean, well-organized, and accurate set of financial records.
