Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and monitor salary forecasts, collaborating with budget holders to address any concerns.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly consolidated management accounts to budget holders.
- Review and validate budget holders’ forecasts for accuracy and reasonableness.
- Process and update monthly amended forecasts as provided by budget holders.
- Draft monthly financial reports for the management team based on the latest accounts.
- Support budget holders in managing their budgets, resolving queries, and providing additional financial insights.
- Ensure restricted funding is appropriately allocated, spent, and recorded in compliance with guidelines.
- Develop and communicate a budget timetable in coordination with the Director of Finance.
- Provide financial guidance to budget holders during the annual budgeting process.
- Input final profiled budgets into the accounting system with precision.
- Previous experience in the not-for-profit or charity sector is highly desirable.
- Actively studying for a recognized financial qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Strong Excel skills, including proficiency in lookup tables and SUMIFS functions.
- A proactive, "can-do" attitude with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Confidence in engaging with colleagues across the finance team and the wider organization.
- Passion for maintaining a clean, well-organized, and accurate set of financial records.
