Ambient People is partnering with a London borough to find an interim Finance Business Partner (Capital) who is passionate about making an impact on community projects.

This central London local authority is seeking a dynamic and strategic finance professional with a knack for stakeholder engagement. The finance team has a great relationship with the service you’ll be assisting, and you’ll play a key role in developing this relationship further.

You will play a crucial role in budget monitoring for exciting projects, such as a new leisure centre and park refurbishments, working closely with a dynamic and collaborative finance team.

Key tasks:

  • Deliver insightful financial advice that will drive key decisions and be impactful on the service.
  • Provide management support to a new business partnering team and enhance the capital team’s effectiveness.
  • Presenting the monthly project tracker to executive members of the council.
  • Preparation of the quarterly capital budget monitor.
  • Improving reporting quality including financing reviews.

This role will primarily focus on the General Fund, and you will need to have local government capital experience.
