Finance Business Partner - Financial Services (Offshoring Program Focus)

My client, a mulitnational financial services group, is looking to hire a contract resouse to be responsible for providing financial oversight, insights, and direction for an offshoring program. This role requires a deep understanding of financial management, tracking, cost optimization, and risk assessment associated with offshoring initiatives. The Finance Business Partner will work closely with senior stakeholders to drive financial performance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and maximizing value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Ownership of Offshoring Program:

    • Develop, manage, and own the financial framework for the offshoring program, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

    • Establish and monitor financial KPIs specific to the offshoring initiative, ensuring cost-efficiency, profitability, and alignment with strategic objectives.

    • Provide financial governance and control, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

  • Strategic Business Partnering:

    • Collaborate with operations, HR, IT, and other relevant teams to drive financial performance and optimize costs related to offshoring.

    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision-making and long-term planning.

    • Act as a trusted advisor on financial implications of various operational models, including outsourcing, nearshoring, and offshoring.

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting:

    • Prepare comprehensive financial reports highlighting the performance of the offshoring program, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.

    • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track financial performance against key metrics.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting:

    • Lead the annual budgeting process for the offshoring program, ensuring accurate projections and alignment with broader financial goals.

    • Continuously monitor financial forecasts, adjusting as necessary to reflect operational changes and strategic shifts.

  • Risk Management & Compliance:

    • Identify financial risks associated with the offshoring program, developing strategies to mitigate potential impacts.

    • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and compliance standards across various jurisdictions.

  • Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization:

    • Drive efficiency improvements within financial processes, leveraging technology and automation where applicable.

    • Implement robust financial models to evaluate potential cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiencies.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional qualification like CPA/CFA preferred).

  • Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner within Financial Services, particularly in managing financials for offshoring or outsourcing programs.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
