Finance Business Partner | Hypergrowth Online Marketplace | Hybrid London

The Client

Harmonic are delighted to be working with an incredibly high growth online marketplace as they look to professionalise their finance function. Our client has grown significantly over the past 4 years with revenue doubling year on year, alongside a substantial growth in head count to go alongside this.

The ambitious scale-up company have a strategic plan in place to take the business to market leading standards and looking to hire the best talent to support this growth. If you are a commercially motivated individual with a solid accounting foundation, then this is a great fit.

The Role

Our client is looking for a keen learner to help develop the footprint and importance of finance across the wider business as they grow. The finance business partner will play a key role in both developing and fostering strong relationships with key internal stakeholders who may or may not understand the relevant key financial figures and targets.

The role will have both a blend of using existing finance skills to analyse internal /external reporting from the statutory team but also using your commercial acumen to ensure the business remains and continues to head in the right direction from a financial position.

Responsibilities

  • Business partner with key stakeholders with wider functions across the business.
  • Consolidation of group management accounts, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
  • Prepare Investor & Board Reporting packs
  • Prepare business partnering reports and building in-depth analysis of results to help make commercial decisions
  • Partner and present to departmental execs to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize financial performance
  • Management of opex cost trackers, renewals and cost management
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet recs and identify and investigate discrepancies
  • Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
  • Coach junior members of the team to develop their accountancy skills

What we need to see

  • Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Adept Excel user, confident in manipulating large datasets.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure under tight and competing deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and commercial mindset.

Salary: £55,000-£65,000 + Benefits
