Butler Rose is working with one of the largest housing associations in London and the South-East in their search for a Finance Business Partner - Service Charge to join their team. This is a six month fixed term contract role with hybrid working (3 days in the office) and will pay c.£48,000 to the successful candidate. The primary purpose of the role is to support wider Reporting Team in relation to the service charge review enabling our Client to deliver a value for money service accurate, consistent, timely and transparent reporting maximum cost recoverability and that reports that are sufficiently robust to stand up to scrutiny from our residents and/or any external regulatory Body. Key Responsibilities: * Partnering with the Operational Teams to provide financial insights including budget and forecast changes, providing narrative to support any changes. * Determining appropriate service charge accounting treatments in accordance with legislation, contractual arrangements, and best practice and then posting accruals and prepayments accordingly. * Ensure robust financial processes are adhered to, to facilitate the management of emerging opportunities and challenges. * Act as a strategic financial advisor to the Operational Teams, developing financial models to aid data driven decision-making. * Produce financial planning and reporting for the various Operational Teams, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and facilitating the consolidation into the wider business. * Develop and adapt reporting processes to meet evolving needs, offering insightful financial analysis. * Maintain accurate data, managing large complex data sets on excel and in-house systems. * Provide information to both internal and external auditors as required and assist in the year end process where necessary. Ideal Candidate Profile: * Hold, or be actively working towards, a CCAB recognised accounting qualification. * Good knowledge of Service Charge legislation, accounting treatments and best practice. * Previous experience of business partnering with non-Finance colleagues, providing finance expertise and commercial challenge. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse audience engagement work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. * Capable of analysing complex data to provide data driven proposals. * Experience influencing operational activities at both tactical and strategic levels across all areas of the business. * Experience manipulating large and complex data sets across multiple systems. * Proficiency in Excel and Power BI, knowledge of D365 preferred. * Uphold ethical principles including integrity, objectivity, professional competence, confidentiality, and professional behaviour.
