We are urgently seeking a Finance Business Partner to join the finance team within a prestigious membership organisation. This pivotal role will contribute to the strategic financial management of the organisation, working closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner and key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience, financial insight, and business acumen to support our mission and enhance our financial processes.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Engage with various departments to provide financial support and insights, helping to drive the organisation’s objectives and long-term plans.
  • Prepare and analyse financial KPIs, management reports, and highlight areas of concern, supporting the creation of robust business plans.
  • Oversee the preparation and posting of month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and deferrals.
  • Assist with the production of monthly consolidated management accounts and other financial reports for the organisation.
  • Analyse and prepare detailed budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and reliability for submission to the organisation’s group entities.
  • Conduct thorough balance sheet reviews and reconciliations monthly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Support both internal and external audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and addressing audit queries.
  • Provide system administration support for finance systems, resolving issues, and identifying improvements to enhance efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Fully qualified from a recognised accountancy body (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
  • Significant experience in finance within a charity, non-profit, or membership organisation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to identifying risks, investigating issues, and formulating practical solutions.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritise effectively.
  • Proficiency in financial management systems and tools such as Microsoft Business Central, Excel, Word, and Jet reporting software.
