Finance Business Partner

This is a great opportunity for someone who is ACCA, ACA or CIMA Qualified or Qualified by Experience to gain exposure across a multi-site business with the chance of implementing a new accounting system.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for:

• Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Analyze financial performance against forecasts and historical data.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to improve business performance.

• Strategic Partnering

  • Work closely with business unit leaders to align financial goals with strategic objectives.
  • Support the development of business strategies and long-term financial plans.
  • Advise on investment opportunities and strategic initiatives.

• Decision Support

  • Provide financial input and support for key business decisions, including capital investments, pricing strategies, and cost optimization.
  • Conduct financial feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of business cases and presentations for senior management.

• Reporting and Performance Monitoring

  • Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
  • Track and monitor financial performance, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data and reports.

• Cost Management

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and support cost reduction initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage operating expenses and capital expenditures.
  • Implement and maintain cost control measures across the business.

• Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with various departments (e.g., marketing, operations, HR) to understand their financial needs and challenges.
  • Provide financial training and support to non-financial managers to enhance financial literacy across the organization.
  • Facilitate communication between finance and other business functions to ensure alignment and effective decision-making.

• Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
  • Identify and manage financial risks, implementing appropriate controls and mitigation strategies.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.

• Continuous Improvement

  • Drive process improvements within the finance function and across the business.
  • Implement and leverage financial systems and tools to enhance efficiency and reporting capabilities.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in finance.

As a Finance Business Partner, what you will get in return:

• £55,000 - £65,000
• 23 Days Holidays (rising to 25 days after 3 years of service) plus 8 Bank Holidays
• Annual Discretionary Bonus (after 1 year of service)
