New Finance Business Partner role - join a leading UK construction business. You'll play a key role in driving financial performance, working closely with senior stakeholders in multiple sites across the south of England. This position offers both strategic impact and hands-on financial management in a dynamic, fast-paced industry. Candidates must have construction experience. This role requires travel throughout southern England sites 3/4x per week.

Description

Support the bid teams with financial insight into customer and supply chain financial suitability

Oversee tender financial requirements and implications through application of financial tollgates

In conjunction with the bid team develop tender cashflow forecasts and advise on the best approach to cash and payment risk management

Produce data on customer trends to help with marketing and sales including, modelling current customer trends

Prepare monthly and quarterly divisional management accounts including analysis and explanation of variances to budget/forecast

Prepare divisional cash flow forecasts and drill into variances, recommend on remedial actions

Create and analyse ad-hoc financial reports to support divisional senior management team in the business decision making

Working with the Management Team and Managing Director, prepare divisional quarterly / annual budgets and forecasts, providing analysis and explanation of variances

Provide effective financial procedures, or initiate change, to ensure key operational, commercial, and financial targets are delivered

Oversee the monthly and quarterly projects and divisional business reviews, working with the projects and division Senior Management Teams

Challenge the senior business team managers to ensure performance is reported accurately. In collaboration with commercial management oversee projects forecasting and budgeting; review and validate project cash forecasting

Profile

  • ACA / ACA / CIMA
  • Evidence of post qualification continuing professional development
  • Excellent Communications skills

5+ years of experience as FBP, Financial Controller / Finance Director, within construction industry

Job Offer

£115 - £125 + Bonus + Car allowance

This role is based between a number of UK sites in Southern England. The right candidate would be based between London, Reading and other sites each week.
