I'm recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a particularly fast-growing, global, City-based business who have grown both organically and by acquisition to boast revenues approaching 3bn. They are a true success story, are cash rich and they continue to make major acquisitions and expand into new markets.

The post of Finance Business Partner is a newly created role sitting in one of their key business units (revenue c. 175m). The role reports into the Finance Director and duties include:

  • Provide high quality, timely information, analysis and advice to support effective decision making and performance management.
  • Understand the drivers of business performance; identify trends, areas of opportunity or remedial action - implement initiatives to address these.
  • Produce finance packs with commentary & analysis; explain these to non-finance stakeholders where necessary.
  • Act as a true Finance Business Partner to a range of key stakeholders; support them in their decision making.
  • Lead business units in the setting of annual budgets and mid-year forecasts.
  • Prepare financial models for M&A or other specific activity.

The ideal candidate for the position of Finance Business Partner will:

  • Be a fully qualified accountant with current / prior experience in an FP&A or Business Partner role.
  • Have experience of the insurance sector (this could be via an audit group in Big 4 or in another previous role).
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, be keen to work at pace and have a desire to really make a role their own.
  • Seek rapid career progression and the chance to gain particularly early exposure to senior stakeholders.
