Cedar is seeking a skilled Finance Business Partner to join an NHS Trust in the South East and take ownership over the financial management function, support with business planning & budgeting and enhance efficiency within Divisions.

Rate: Band 8B £225 - £280 per day (Inside IR35)

Location: South East

Hybrid Working Pattern: 3 days on site per week

Contract Length: 3 months

Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert financial advice and information to Divisions and Directorates.
  • Manage a team of Business Partners and work together to upskill the Trust on budgetary management and financial understanding.
  • Spearhead the financial management function and all aspects of income and expenditure.
  • Oversee the monthly reporting cycle and delivery of timely & accurate financial reports.
  • Identify cost efficiencies and potential productivity opportunities across Divisions.
  • Collaborate with the senior team on long-term strategies for the financial management services and implement business planning & budgeting processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement across processes & procedures and assist with the development of the system of controls.
  • Work closely with the PMO and Managers to effectively monitor and deliver the Cost Improvement Process (CIP).
  • Participate in the monthly review of the trust's financial performance and make recommendations where applicable.
  • Oversee the management accounting service.
  • Consistently review budgets, financial principles and polices and implementing enhancements where possible.

Requirements

  • Fully CCAB qualified with substantial CPD.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting policies and regulations within the NHS.
  • Experience with financial management and development of internal controls.
