I'm recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a particularly fast-growing, global, City-based business who have grown both organically and by acquisition to boast revenues approaching £3bn. They are a true success story, are cash rich and they continue to make major acquisitions and expand into new markets.
The post of Finance Business Partner is a newly created role sitting in one of their key business units (revenue c. £175m). The role reports into the Finance Director and duties include:
- Provide high quality, timely information, analysis and advice to support effective decision making and performance management.
- Understand the drivers of business performance; identify trends, areas of opportunity or remedial action - implement initiatives to address these.
- Produce finance packs with commentary & analysis; explain these to non-finance stakeholders where necessary.
- Act as a true Finance Business Partner to a range of key stakeholders; support them in their decision making.
- Lead business units in the setting of annual budgets and mid-year forecasts.
- Prepare financial models for M&A or other specific activity.
The ideal candidate for the position of Finance Business Partner will:
- Be a fully qualified accountant with current / prior experience in an FP&A or Business Partner role.
- Have experience of the insurance sector (this could be via an audit group in Big 4 or in another previous role).
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, be keen to work at pace and have a desire to really make a role their own.
- Seek rapid career progression and the chance to gain particularly early exposure to senior stakeholders.
