Finance Business Partner - Strategic Finance Lead (Adults and Health) - Temporary Role

About the Role

We are seeking a Strategic Finance Lead to join a Camden based local government organisation on a temporary basis. This Finance Business Partner role is integral to the financial strategy of key service areas, focusing on Adults and Health. You will lead a team, provide expert financial advice, and ensure effective budget management and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead annual budget setting, monitoring, and forecasting for Public Health, Adults Social Care, and Children's Commissioning.
  • Develop and oversee the Medium-Term Financial Strategy (MTFS).
  • Provide financial advice on government funding changes, service redesigns, and major projects.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including NHS partners and elected Members.
  • Deputise for the Head of Finance as required.
  • Promote financial awareness and compliance among budget holders.

About You

You will be a qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) with:

  • Strong experience in local government finance, including budget setting and monitoring.
  • Proven ability to advise senior stakeholders and present complex financial information clearly.
  • Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills.
