An international TV & Film group is looking to recruit a hands-on but commercially astute Financial Director to look after the financials and assist in the continued growth of the company. Managing the Finance team of 8 and the production accountants, this role will be working with senior business figure's and play a pivotal part in their drive forwards.

This is a business facing role working with all areas of the business. The main responsibilities include but are not limited to the below tasks:

  • Full responsibility for the monthly management reporting - P&L, Balance Sheet, variance analysis
  • Responsibility for annual budgeting & quarterly forecasting
  • Main point of a contact between productions and finance
  • Responsible for the administration of the Tax Credit claims
  • Primary contact for external audit and responsibility for filing of statutory accounts
  • Responsible for quarterly VAT returns
  • Oversee administration of greenlight process for new productions.
  • Financial controls/systems - create and administer controls of business and ensure adhered to
  • Identifying any new system needs within production flow
  • Business partnering - with COO, Legal, Production teams
  • Management the finance and production accounting team
  • Build a business awareness of upcoming production and development slate
  • Ad-hoc project & analysis work as directed by the senior business figures

You will be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with previous experience of month-end, financial reporting and ideally some business partnering in a TV/Film Production or related Entertainment industry. The ability to quickly establish credibility with production teams and take a bigger picture view whilst keeping a tight reign on the financials is paramount.
