We Do Group are proud to be handling an exclusive and retained search for a Finance Director role at board level for a high-growth e-commerce and technology company based in Central London.
This role reports directly to the board and will take charge of both the commercial and accounting aspects of the business. The company is in a strong position for growth and is looking for a Finance Director to help execute their strategic vision.
Backed by private equity, the business has a clear path toward an exit strategy, making this an exciting opportunity.

This is a hands-on leadership role, and the ideal candidate will have:
- A qualified accountant background with EXCEPTIONAL academic credentials
- A stable and progressive career history
- A strategic and commercially focused mindset
- Experience leading finance teams and adding value at the board level
The Role
This is an all-encompassing Finance Director position, covering a wide range of responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a skilled finance team of 6
- Recruit and develop talent within the team
- Oversee all accounting and financial processes
- Manage financial risks, audits, and controls
- Ensure compliance with statutory and reporting requirements
- Build and enhance the FP&A function
- Drive data analysis, management information, and insights
- Partner with the board on business strategy and growth initiatives
- Oversee fundraising efforts and manage debt facilities
- Ensure compliance with banking covenants
- Oversee revenue recognition, product costing, and performance
- Manage manufacturing costs and processes
Your Profile
We are looking for a dynamic Finance Director (or CFO) with a proven track record of scaling businesses. Key criteria include:
- Qualified accountant with an exceptional academic background
- Hands-on experience building and managing a finance function
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking
- A history of career stability and progression
