Mackie Myers are partnering with a scaling organisation within the advertising & Media sector to recruit their first full time Finance Director. Due to organic growth and growth via acquisition, the organisation is now looking to build out the senior leadership team with the Finance Director being a pivotal role to ensure the organisation can meet their ambitious strategic targets over the next three years.The RoleReporting into the CEO of the owner managed business, the Finance Director will support building the finance and corporate finance strategy alongside leading the finance operations ensuring the company’s financial health is managed appropriately. Due to the growth, the organisation is looking at several strategies to continue growth such as further acquisitions or private equity funding. Responsibilities
  • Develop Financial Strategies: Implement strategies to support growth and profitability.
  • Financial Forecasting & Guidance: Provide forecasting, risk management, and strategic guidance to the executive team.
  • Financial Analysis & Modelling: Conduct analysis and modelling for business planning and investment decisions.
  • Capital Raising & Debt Management: Assist with external capital raising and manage debt facilities.
  • Budgeting & Reporting: Oversee budget preparation, monitor performance, and produce regular reports.
  • Cash Flow Management: Ensure sufficient liquidity and manage banking relationships.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulations, maintain internal controls, and mitigate financial risks.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, collaborating with other departments for financial alignment.
  • Compliance, Risk Management & Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards. Implement and maintain strong internal controls and conduct audits to safeguard company assets.
 The Successful Candidate:
  • Experience with leading a finance function within a scaling SME.
  • Exposure to corporate finance (M&A & Financing) desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working with C-Suite executives across international entities.
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • A good understanding of commercial finance to drive commercial decision making and profitability.
