Finance Director

Up to £150,000 + bonus + equity

Central London

Partner Financial are working with a PE backed Media company which has experienced impressive growth since inception and is looking to hire a Vice President of Finance to drive the strategy and support the leadership team.

Reporting directly into the Chief Executive, this role will take full ownership of the finance function and is pivotal in shaping the financial strategy, ensuring robust financial health and providing key insights that drive business success. The Finance Director is a key hire and will have regular interactions with the Board and the investors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement business strategy
  • Drive and co-ordinate leadership initiatives
  • Provide financial insights to support robust decision making, driving profitable outcomes and growth, optimising use of investment
  • Oversee all forecasts, budgets and scenario plans and agree them with the CEO and budget holders
  • Monitor, manage and report on cash flow and treasury
  • Responsible for establishing key performance indicators and subscription metrics for the business and for their measurement and effectiveness
  • Oversee IT to ensure appropriate systems and contracts are in place and scalable
  • Open to supporting opportunistic M&A activity including due diligence and integration
  • Create a positive impact on shareholder value
  • Lead and develop the finance team by mentoring and supporting their professional development
  • Oversee supplier negotiations and contract management
  • Foster a culture of cost management and budget accountability
  • Support the revenue teams on deal structures and contractual terms

The Successful Candidate will have:

  • A finance qualification (ACA or equivalent) with excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial acumen and the gravitas to impact business strategy and operations without losing sight of the customer
  • Prior experience in the media, digital, technology or software industry and a strong understanding of key SaaS / subscription metrics
  • The agility to work in a fast-paced environment, where a mind-set of continuous improvement is essential
