Based: East London / Central London / Hybrid

Salary: £120,000 - £135,000 (dependent on experience) plus excellent benefits

Finance Director - About the role

Working closely alongside the CEO, the Finance Director will take overall responsibility for the finance function and play a key role in the strategic direction of the business. Duties will include:

  • Overseeing the smooth running of the entire finance function
  • Develop and implement financial strategy across the UK and support international expansion
  • Provision of insightful performance analysis and strategic evaluation
  • Preparation of reports for Board of Director meetings
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Communicate with investment teams and develop strong banking relationships
  • Manage and supervise a small finance team
  • Ad hoc strategic tasks as delegated by the CEO

Finance Director - Candidate requirements

This role requires an experienced finance professional , Finance Director / CFO who can operate strategically and hands on.

  • Degree educated, and a qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA with at least 7 years PQE
  • 10 years + of proven finance experience within a rapid growth fintech / payments business and ideally within an international environment
  • Deep knowledge of the international payments landscape and treasury management
  • Thorough understanding of commercial finance and business strategy
  • Willingness to "muck in" across all areas of the finance function
  • An excellent team player with a confident, outgoing personality and a commercial mindset
  • A strong communicator who has the ability to implement and influence change at all levels.
  • Previous line management experience essential
  • Knowledge of Xero
