Working within a fun and friendly team, the Finance Executive role reports straight into the Director of the business and, working closely with the external accountants, has responsibility for the day to day finance operations of the business.

This is a critical role that requires a detail orientated and proactive individual who doesn’t mind working within a sole position.

Due to the nature of this entrepreneurial organisation the role involves an extensive amount of financial administration, including managing requirements of Companies House including incorporating and dissolving companies as required.

To be a suitable candidate it is essential that you have at least 1-2 years experience in management accounting/accounts payable experience and be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment. You will be an organised, self motivated and have a naturally warm self confidence and initiative.

This role is fully office based which is located in the Battersea/Clapham area. There is the potential for a study package to be offered.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Full responsibility for the end to end accounts payable process from receipt of invoice through to payment runs
  • Manage the month end process, working with the external accountants as required
  • Full management and reconciliation of the bank accounts across multiple currencies, and analysis of transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and VAT returns
  • Opening & closing of bank accounts and managing the mandates
  • Manage multiple entities in companies house, managing the financial admin required when incorporating & dissolving companies
  • Assist with managing the cashflow and cashflow forecasting
  • Managing the accounts receivable, chasing outstanding monies as required
  • Preparation of ad hoc financial reports as required
  • Lots of ad hoc projects

Candidate requirements:

  • Educated to degree level in accounting, finance or related
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in management accounting/accounts payable or similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to forge strong and respected working relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel
  • Self motivated, collaborative and able to work with initiative
  • Great working knowledge of financial accounting systems (ie Xero, Quickbooks, Sage etc)
  • Able to work in a fast past environment with accuracy and to deadlines
