Finance Manager/Executive Assistant

Salary: £75,000 p.a.

Central London - mainly work at home.

Our client is involved in the media/sport industry and is looking for someone with advanced Xero accounting software knowledge and an ACA (ICAEW), CIMA or ACCA qualification to work as a Finance Manager / Executive Assistant to the Directors. You must have previous Financial Management experience as well as experience working as an Executive Assistant for senior Directors.

The role is primarily based at home and there is some flexibility with working hours, but it is important to be able to clear all duties by the end of each day. You will be required to attend the office in Central London, for a few hours every fortnight and it would be great if the individual was available to travel with the Directors on international trips, although this is not essential. A passion for film, football etc. would also be an advantage.

Main duties: -

  • Reporting to the Management Team once a fortnight with up-to-date financial figures and ad hoc project reports.
  • Liaising with Company accountants.
  • Preparing statistical analyses as requested.
  • Logging information and producing invoices as required.
  • Checking and verification of all accounts related queries.
  • Credit control and debt-collection as necessary
  • Managing automated online payment services, to include reconciliation and reporting.
  • Bank account management as required.
  • Advising and assisting the team on finance related issues
  • Managing all aspects of payroll for 14 people including pensions administration and payments to HMRC in conjunction with the Company accountants.
  • Working on a variety of projects for the sport and media side of the business at the Directors request.
  • Providing Executive support to the Senior Directors.
  • Attending events, matches, trips abroad and any other activities at the Manager and/or Director’s request.
  • Acquiring consent to being filmed and or photographed for any media projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a range of different environments.

Essential requirements: -

  • ACA (ICAEW), CIMA or ACCA qualification essential.
  • Current, advanced Xero accounting software experience essential.
  • Good experience with Payroll, NI, Tax, expenses and invoicing essential.
  • Previous experience providing Executive Assistant duties to Directors.
  • Tech savvy and able to set up online accounting and admin procedures.
  • Proactivity and initiative are essential as the owners and directors are busy and you will need to be offering them help whenever you can as well as taking on any tasks you are allocated.
