JAG Talent is partnered exclsuively with a leading production business to hire a Finance Manager on a contract basis for 12 months. This role will require someone with previous experience partnering with Technology Costs via a CTO or CIO. Key Responsibilities:
  • To perform month-end management accounting, including:
    • Preparation of management accounts and reporting for all relevant departments.
    • Preparation/review of all allocations to business units.
    • Production of associated variance analysis and commentary on actual performance against budgets/forecasts.
    • Preparation of month-end journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Working closely with department heads to ensure accuracy of reporting and analysis.
  • Budget/forecasting:
    • Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, including identification of opportunities and risks.
    • Ongoing review of allocation models to ensure they reflect underlying business drivers.
    • Presentation of budgets and forecasts to senior management.
    • Working closely with leadership to provide business partner input into strategic thinking and financial evaluations/analysis.
  • Capital Reporting:
    • Ownership of the capital procurement process and policy.
    • Management and challenge of capital budgets and quarterly forecasts.
    • Revenue recognition of client-funded capital budgets in line with client contract obligations.
    • Reporting of capital spend and committed spend against approvals and budgets to senior management.
    • Responsible for management accounting of fixed assets, including posting monthly depreciation and producing monthly summaries.
    • Maintenance of the fixed asset register, including creation of new assets and disposal of old assets.
This role ideally requires someone immediately available or maximum on 1 month notice, they offer a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 from home. You will be a fully qualified accountant with at least 3 years PQE with experience in a fast paced media / technology business.
