Finance Manager position now available at leading US law firm overing London, their European entities and their office in the middle east.

As the Finance Manager, you will be rresponsible for the oversight of all accounting records for the including accounts preparation and audit for the UK LLP and supporting the team in the middle east with the accounts preparation and audit for two entities. The role will also support the management of all UK, European and middle east tax matters in collaboration with the Director of Finance - Europe, the Firm's Director of Taxes, and the Tax Supervisor - Europe.

Specific duties include:

  • Prepare UK LLP accounts and act as main point of contact during the audit
  • Support the Finance team in the middle east with the preparation of accounts and audit for their two entities and the preparation of their tax returns and payments
  • Review and approve journal entries for London, European and offices in the middle east.
  • Review and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare and review tax returns and payments for the UK, French & Belgian offices, including the monitoring of deadlines
  • Collaborate with members of the tax department in the preparation and review of US tax returns as it relates to UK, European and middle east tax implications
  • Ensure all VAT regulations in all relevant jurisdictions are adhered to for income and expenses; review monthly VAT reconciliations and compile and file quarterly VAT returns in a timely and accurate manner
  • Management and development of staff, ensuring they are utilised appropriately and adequately trained, developing and mentoring staff and supporting department
  • Involvement in staff selection process

Experience needed:

  • Strong statutory accounts experience, preferably with LLP experience and able to lead the year end audit.
  • Proven accounts preparation experience preferably for UK and international entities.
  • Significant experience and knowledge of UK, European and Cross Border tax matters
  • Experience overseeing / managing staff
  • Progressive experience, including management experience, in a fast-paced, challenging professional services environment; experience in a large global law firm is preferred
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualification desirable but will also consider someone qualified by experience
