Finance Manager - Live Music

Highly successful, expanding live music agency are looking for Finance Manager to join a busy live booking agency. The successful candidate will manage accounts and be responsible for all accounts processes associated with artist's bookings.

Main Job tasks and responsibilities:

  • Leading the month-end process, including preparation of monthly reporting pack, actual vs forecast analysis and resolving potential variances
  • Assisting the Financial Director and CFO in yearly budgeting and forecasting
  • Preparation of quarterly tax returns, including VAT and FEU
  • Managing the monthly payroll process, arranging payments and submitting commission reports for payroll
  • Processing statements, payments, and queries for clients
  • Providing analysis and insight to help shape the direction of the business
  • Identify opportunities to generate efficiencies in our financial processes and actioning
  • Overseeing day to day tasks of accounts assistants such as expenses and accounts payable
  • Supporting the yearly audit process and assisting auditors with related queries
  • Handling and resolving escalated credit control issues
  • Reconcile bank and balance sheet

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 3-4 years experience, preferably working in the music industry/live booking agency
  • Qualified / Part-Qualified accountant (eq ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
  • Prior experience working within a finance team with exposure to management accounting/analysis
  • Strong data handling skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and comfortable working to strict deadlines
  • Autonomous and self-driven with excellent organisational skills
  • Advanced Excel user
  • Experience with QuickBooks/Sage/Xero
