VisionFR is delighted to be helping our client, a Live Events Agency, with offices in London and Dubai find a part-time Finance Manager. The ideal candidate will have current experience as a Finance Manager in an events/creative/architects/project-based delivery environment.

This Finance Manager role is offered on a remote / flexible basis although the client does have a small London space should you prefer to work in the office.

Responsibilities of the Part Time Finance Manager

  • Oversee and address day to day queries.
  • Production of Company Management Accounts
  • Assist in developing metrics and monthly Performance Reports with commentary/analysis
  • Prepare flash reporting, as required and ensure a proper, timely and accurate project close
  • Sales ledger activities - recording and managing customer transactions, including sales invoices, statements, receipts, and credit control (WIP is managed by a project controller)
  • Purchase ledger - posting supplier invoices, scheduling and processing payments and reconciling supplier balances
  • Monthly bank reconciliations in USD, GBP, EUR, AUD and AED (UK and Dubai accounts).
  • Cashflow forecasting and cash management.
  • Compile monthly payroll reports and journals, manage company pension scheme, starters and leavers admin and HMRC submissions (EPS. FPS, P60, P11D forms).
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Assets Register
  • Staff benefits and expenses management
  • Submit quarterly VAT returns to both UK and UAE
  • Prepare company budget forecast.
  • Intra-company billings.
  • Provide guidance and direction to the management team on financial and strategic matters.
  • Ensure full financial controls are in place across the business.
  • Preparation of draft statutory accounts and financial statements, including year-end adjustments, prepayments and accruals and inter-company reconciliation.
  • Liaison with external auditors.
  • Manage the annual review of insurances.
  • Manage any R&D Corporation Tax relief claims.
  • Manage the process to reclaim overseas sales taxes incurred.
  • Maintenance of Dubai office records, ensuring certification, visas and licences are kept up to date.

Key Requirements of the Finance Manager

  • Accounting in a Creative Agency/Architects/Design agency
  • Experience with working within a multi-currency environment
  • Advanced Excel including pivot tables/formulas/Vlookups is essential.
  • A quick learner
  • Able to multi-task and work effectively under pressure.
  • Able to prioritise conflicting priorities and tight deadlines.
  • An independent thinker with ability to work without supervision.
