Finance Manager | Digital Marketing Agency | London

Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively with a high-growth Digital Marketing Agency in their search for a Finance Manager to join their growing team.

Our client has scaled in recent years, now turning over close to £5m, they are well on their way to becoming an industry name within their niche.

They encompass a dynamic working environment, and you will be surrounded by the best creative minds and a close-knit sociable team who are passionate about the designs that contribute to, and the vibe they create around the office. Creating a progressive working culture is incredibly important to our client, extending to outside of work, where there are various social activities that the team organise.

Reporting directly to the Founder, the role takes entire ownership of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow and management accounts, while partnering with the sales and supply chain teams to improve operational efficiency. The position is exceptionally broad and the person coming into this role must be comfortable taking on all aspects of transactional finance, including bookkeeping whilst getting stuck in with extensive commercial / strategic duties.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Full control over monthly management accounts
  • Bank and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Accruals, prepayments, and depreciation journals
  • Analysis of P&Ls, margins, and variance
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Budget implementation
  • VAT returns
  • Working with external accountants (on the statutory accounts) and outsourced payroll team
  • Business partnering with other departments
  • Expenses processing
  • Sourcing funding

Essential skills

  • Significant experience within Creative Agencies / Luxury Fashion / E-Commerce
  • Finalist or Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Capable of taking control of all aspects of transactional finance independently
  • Experience with Xero
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary: £50,000 to £60,000

Location: London (hybrid 2-3 days WFH)

Start date: ASAP (2 months maximum notice)
