Finance Manager | Fast-Growth SaaS Scale-up | London (1 day in office)
Harmonic are delighted to be working a rapidly scaling Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business in their search for a Finance Manager.
Their cutting-edge SaaS has won multiple awards for innovation and subsequently attracted investment from prominent investors with a track record of investing into successful software businesses. Now on the verge of rapid expansion, they are looking for a Finance Manager to help them through their next phase of growth.
The business is led by a highly ambitious and bright senior leadership team with previous prior experience scaling and exited SaaS businesses, so you'll be surrounded by a high-performing team of smart and passionate people to aid your professional development.
The role will be predominantly remote with once per week visit to their office in South London.
The Role:
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will play a key role owning the financial reporting and FP&A for the business. This role supports the finance team by ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of group results and providing data for cost control and reforecasting.
This is an incredibly broad and hands-on role, with significant ownership of finance whilst also having exposure to the wider business and Leadership Team. As expected in a scale-up environment, the Finance Manager will also be integral in the design and implementation of processes and ensuring robust financial controls to deliver growth.
Responsibilities:
* Review monthly management accounts for each entity within the group to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Prepare and review group consolidations using newly implemented accounting reporting software.
* Conduct functional area reviews, collaborating with department heads to analyse actual vs. budget performance.
* Oversee the entire group audit process, from planning through to finalisation.
* Manage group treasury functions, including cash flow monitoring and reporting.
* Compile budgets with a strong understanding of functional areas to ensure accurate forecasting.
* Lead quarterly re-forecasting, working with budget holders to refine projections and challenge budget variances.
* Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities to improve financial efficiency.
* Handle statutory reporting requirements as needed.
* Support potential restructuring of group entities.
Requirements:
* Experience in SaaS or subscription startup/scaleup
* Certified accountant or finalist (ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA).
* Adaptability with experience in high-growth startup, scaleup or SME
* Proactive individual with strong analytical and communication abilities, capable of simplifying complex data
Location: South London (1 day in office per week)
