Harmonic are delighted to be working with one of the most prominent and exciting businesses in the B2B Event space, in their search for their next Finance Manager to join their growing team.

The client pride themselves on a meticulously curated guest list, recognising that chemistry is paramount. With turnover at circa £20 million and growing year on year, our client remain profitable and look set to continue on this trajectory.

The Role:

As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for full oversight of the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring robust financial management and reporting. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll lead a team of three talented individuals, including an Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Assistant, and a Management Accountant. Along with core finance, there will also be financial analysis required to support with strategic and future decision making.

The values led ethos of the business is underlined by the fact they operate a four day a week business model (Monday - Thursday), with an office presence expected 3 of those 4 days.

Duties:

  • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee all day-to-day financial operations, including month-end procedures and production of management accounts
  • Support forecasting, variance review, and financial planning and analysis processes
  • Manage cash flow and working capital
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, including monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
  • Coordinate year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors.

What we need to see (essential):

  • ACCA / CIMA / ACA Qualified
  • Previous team / line management experience

What we'd like to see (bonus):

  • Experience in the live events space

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (for four days) + bonus

Location: London - 3 days in the office
