Finance Manager | Viral Ecommerce Scaleup | London / Hybrid
Harmonic is thrilled to exclusively collaborate with one of London's most innovative ecommerce brands in their search for a Finance Manager. Despite being relatively new to the scene, our client is swiftly establishing themselves through viral TikTok and influencer market strategies.
The brand initial operated a D2C (ecommerce) model focussing on using influencer marketing (TikTok / Instagram) to build a huge ecommerce presence which has seen revenues across their entities grow to c.£10m in only a few years. Whilst much of this growth has come from the UK market, they have also managed to secure major retail listings in the US market with Walmart and Target just to name a couple. With revenue increasing monthly, our client is now building out their retail offering to support the next phase of growth.
This role is tailored for candidates who enjoy working with significant autonomy, who are passionate about the dynamism working in an SME, characterized by rapid evolution and growth. We're seeking a proactive Finance Manager with a strong aptitude for reporting, analytics, a keen eye for process improvement and who can set robust finance controls to work at our clients Zone 1 HQ.
The Role:
- Lead the production of monthly management accounts and board pack reporting, ensuring accuracy and insightful commentary.
- Oversee the annual budgeting process for Commercial, Operational, and Support teams.
- Manage and develop the team, there is currently an inhouse colleague who supports with transactional finance as well as outsourced bookkeeping.
- Control overhead costs and work with budget holders to enhance profitability.
- Improve stock and expenditure control across the business.
- Partner with the Founders to analyse and challenge business expenditures, driving profitability.
- Ensure accurate stock reporting within the ERP system and address stock-related queries.
- Lead finance improvement projects and help non-finance teams identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis as requested by senior management.
What our client would like to see:
- Newly Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS) or Finalist level
- Strong analytical and data skills
- Experience on cloud accounting system would be beneficial. They currently Xero however this isn't a formal requirement.
- Experience with COGS within food / drink / retail / ecommerce / fashion / manufacturing would be beneficial.
What we would like to see:
- Experience with a challenger brand in food / drink / retail / ecommerce / fashion / apparel etc
- Experience in building out a finance team
- Experience with a business who have scaled up in America
Salary: £70,000 to £80,000 + benefits
Location: Central London (Zone 1 location)
