Equifind are working with an award-winning, VC-backed scale-up in London to recruit a qualified Finance Manager.

Reporting directly to one of the Founders, with mentorship from a Fractional CFO, this sole-charge position will cover the full spectrum of finance, including bookkeeping and finance operations, management accounting, FP&A and audit management.

Supported by angel investors and venture capital firms, this is an exciting time to join as the company enters its next phase of growth. Revenue has tripled since FY 2022 and are planning an exit over the next few years.

Key responsibilities:

  • Liaising with the company directors to compile the annual budget
  • Producing monthly consolidated/group management accounts, and management information pack (including cashflow analysis)
  • Business partner with the sales team to enable robust forward revenue forecasts
  • Identifying improvement opportunities in areas such as cost reduction, controls, revenue enhancement, and finance/accounting policy
  • Building relationships and dealing directly with external accountants
  • Conducting general financial operations and bookkeeping including transactional finance
  • Fully managing the Payables and Receivables side of the business including looking after key supplier accounts and responsibility for pay runs
  • Producing all supporting reconciliations, schedules and posting of associated journals (e.g. bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, accrued revenue, deferred revenue, depreciation etc.)
  • Maintaining general ledgers including account maintenance, month and year end processes, running trial balances and the posting of journals
  • Taking part in a range of ad hoc commercial improvement projects and providing support to the business as required
  • Assisting with fundraising

Job requirements:

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant
  • At least 3 years accounting experience
  • Ability to produce detailed sets of management accounts
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition (deferred and accrued income)
  • Knowledge of finance systems (Xero preferred)
  • Great attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills including advanced Excel
