Finance Manager - West London / Hybrid - PE Backed Property Management Co - £50-55,000

This dynamic Private Equity backed Property Management business is looking for a Qualified or Qualified By Experience Finance Manager to report to the CFO and join its team in West London. The main priority of the role is to create a stable foundation within the Finance function and improve systems and processes in the business

The Finance Manager will be joining the business at a pivotal time with the recruitment of a new Executive Team, initiation of the growth strategy and hiring across departments. The pace of change and improvement will be rapid, and this role would suit someone goal oriented who thrives under pressure. Key tasks include:

  • Oversee an outsourced Finance team and review all outputs of the Finance team, taking ownership of all elements of the balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.
  • Process improvement of both Financial and Operational areas to optimise efficiency and identify cost savings.
  • Tracking of Cash Flow and strategies to optimise cashflow for growth.
  • Design and implement tracking of Financial and Operational KPIs to report to board.
  • End to end month end process including drafting all Board materials and commentary.
  • Rolling forecasting as well as more formal forecasting/Budgeting and 3 year planning.
  • Managing relationships with our Banks, Investors, Suppliers, Contractors and Overseas outsourced partners.
  • Contact with Landlords (clients) and Tenants in escalated incidents and for relationship building. Being ready to 'step in' and resolve issues.
  • Acting as a Business Partner across departments to help with decision making. Working closely with the Exec team on various commercial and operational projects.
  • Having an informed perspective and value add input into conversations on commercial decisions, partnerships and new propositions.
  • Reviewing and own all aspects of Payroll and strong oversight of HR activities.
  • Ongoing cost control and challenge to implement savings initiatives and ensure cash is spent on growth activities.
  • Close relationship with our in-house Paralegal and External Lawyer to manage ongoing litigation to a resolution.

Experience & Skills

  • Qualified ACCA, CIMA or qualified by experience
  • Highly organised individual with an ability to prioritise and delegate a vast number of daily tasks and projects without letting anything 'fall off the radar'.
  • Strong communication skills particularly with a more junior overseas team and colleagues outside of Finance.
  • Exceptional Excel and ERP systems experience. Exceptional PowerPoint/Board level reporting deliverables experience.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion and maturity as this role will have sight of sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong cashflow management experience.

This role would suit someone who enjoys designing and implementing rigorous processes, reporting with a high degree of accuracy and insight and has commercial flair and interest. There will be significant opportunities to gain experience across Property Management, Property law, Operations, HR, and all other Corporate Support Functions.
