Finance Manager | Social Impact Lender | London/Hybrid

The Client:

Harmonic are delighted to be working with a disruptive lending business based in London, highly regarded as one of the UK's leading lenders for social impact. Their innovative approach has landed them investment from reputable private equity investors to expand their service offering.

Now on the verge of rapid expansion, they are looking for a Finance Manager to work alongside the CFO to oversee the daily finance operations of the business and play a key role in building out a best-in-class finance function. This role would be well suited to a Management or Financial Accountant looking for a step up in responsibility.

The business is led by a highly ambitious and bright senior leadership team that promotes empowerment, ownership and accountability. Subsequently, you'll be trusted to work autonomously with support from the CFO and CEO where needed.

The Role:

Reporting to the CFO, the Finance Manager will play a key role in owning the daily finance operations for the business.

This is a broad and hands-on role, where you will ownership of accounting and finance whilst also having significant exposure to the wider business and Leadership Team. The Finance Manager will also be integral in the development and implementation of new processes and ensuring robust financial controls to deliver growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and timely delivery of monthly management accounts including insightful commentary.
  • Full exposure and analysis across both Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
  • Supporting on the planning, budgeting and forecasting process
  • Business partnering with senior management to support strategic decision making
  • Maintain strong internal controls to ensure financial data accuracy and integrity
  • Quarterly compiling and filing of the UK VAT Returns
  • Use accounting software (Xero) and other financial systems to streamline processes
  • Identify areas of improvement and implement robust processes

What we need to see (Essential):

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

What we would like to see (Bonus):

  • Experience in Financial Services, Fintech or related industries

Salary: £60,000 + benefits
