Finance Manager - Energy Sector

About The CompanyThey are a dynamic energy business seeking a skilled Finance Manager to shape their financial strategy and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monthly Group Management Accounts: Prepare and report monthly group management accounts.- Annual Statutory Accounts: Manage IFRS/UK GAAP accounts for all UK entities.- Corporate Budgeting: Prepare and report the annual two-year corporate budget.- Financial Reconciliations: Handle balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, month-end journals, prepayments, accruals, and maintain the fixed asset register.- Cash Flow Management: Manage weekly cash flow forecasting, cash management, and payment schedules.- Payroll Management: Oversee all payroll matters, including monthly submissions, P11D preparation, payroll bureau liaison, and pension administration.- Foreign Currency Exchange: Manage foreign currency exchanges, optimizing trades with brokers.- Insurance and Benefits: Liaise with insurance brokers to manage corporate insurance and employee benefits.- Stakeholder Liaison:Address financial due diligence queries and maintain communication with bankers, partners, HMRC, suppliers, auditors, and tax advisors.- Statutory Compliance: Ensure submission of all statutory and regulatory statements, VAT, and tax returns.- Team Supervision: Supervise and develop a part-qualified accountant and a Finance Assistant.- Financial Reporting: Serve as the point of reference for internal and external reporting.- Ad Hoc Projects: Lead and support accounting projects and tasks.- System Maintenance: Support Sage 1000/Sage Intacct and Replicon systems.- Policy Development: Drive the revision of corporate financial policies and procedures.- Cost Audits: Manage project development cost audits.

Who You Are:

- Qualified Accountant: ACA or ACCA qualified.- Experienced: Strong background in financial management, with energy sector experience preferred.- Technically Proficient: Knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP and experience with Sage 1000/Sage Intacct and Replicon is a plus.- Detail-Oriented:** Strong analytical skills with experience in reconciliations and financial reporting.- Leadership Skills:** Proven ability to supervise and develop finance teams.- Effective Communicator:** Able to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
