We are seeking a Finance Manager to join buzzing finance team and support the ongoing growth and acquisitive strategy for a global management consultancy business. This role is ideal for a qualified accountant with strong management accounting experience, who is proactive and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Assist with the management of a 20-strong Management Accounts team, aiming to enhance controls, suggest changes, and introduce process improvements.
  • Oversee the production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and resolve day-to-day team queries.
  • Review and post monthly journals, ensuring the accuracy of monthly reports.
  • Review selected sales invoices for high accuracy.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, ensuring timely collections and payments.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist management accountants with any discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly Group recharges and ensure intercompany reconciliation is completed.
  • Assist with monthly foreign currency revaluation and statutory filings across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Contribute to the production of monthly Board reporting packs and year-end audit preparations.
  • Support ad hoc projects to improve the finance team’s functioning and handle various queries and requests.
  • Maintain up-to-date and well-organised team records and provide training and support to junior team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong management accounting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher and/or a strong academic background preferred.
  • Strong management experience
  • Strong Excel skills and IT systems knowledge- SAGE experience is desirable and not essential
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to introduce new ideas and approaches.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead the finance team.
  • Proactive and focused on team achievement.
  • Ability to cope with a demanding and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisation skills and rigorous attention to detail.
  • Business/financial services experience is beneficial.
