We are seeking a Finance Manager to join buzzing finance team and support the ongoing growth and acquisitive strategy for a global management consultancy business. This role is ideal for a qualified accountant with strong management accounting experience, who is proactive and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Day to Day of the role:- Assist with the management of a 20-strong Management Accounts team, aiming to enhance controls, suggest changes, and introduce process improvements.
- Oversee the production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and resolve day-to-day team queries.
- Review and post monthly journals, ensuring the accuracy of monthly reports.
- Review selected sales invoices for high accuracy.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, ensuring timely collections and payments.
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist management accountants with any discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly Group recharges and ensure intercompany reconciliation is completed.
- Assist with monthly foreign currency revaluation and statutory filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Contribute to the production of monthly Board reporting packs and year-end audit preparations.
- Support ad hoc projects to improve the finance team’s functioning and handle various queries and requests.
- Maintain up-to-date and well-organised team records and provide training and support to junior team members.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong management accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher and/or a strong academic background preferred.
- Strong management experience
- Strong Excel skills and IT systems knowledge- SAGE experience is desirable and not essential
