Finance Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a dynamic finance team on a temporary full-time basis. The role is based in Central London, working 5 days per week in the office. The successful candidate will be part of an entertainment company in the heart of London.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage the full Accounts Receivable function including invoicing, reconciliation, and handling queries.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable tasks such as capturing invoices, account reconciliation, and query resolution.
  • Process Event Settlements, managing both AR & AP, and addressing queries from promoters and the events team.
  • Conduct daily cash updates and serve as the point of contact for all AR & AP communications, both internal and external.
  • Train and guide accounts assistants.
  • Perform weekly bank reconciliations on SAGE and manage the weekly pay run and cash flow.
  • Manage Soldo Prepaid cards, including user management, card issuance, top-ups, and purchase reconciliations.
  • Update the Sales team on AR and conduct weekly finance meetings to discuss cash flow and other finance-related queries.
  • Maintain customer and supplier master files on SAGE and handle SAGE-related queries and postings.
  • Set up accounts with vendors and customers, including online portals and manual forms.
  • Conduct month-end reporting and journal entries, ensuring transactional bookkeeping accuracy.
  • Perform month-end balance sheet reconciliations, VAT & CIS calculations and submissions, and intercompany transaction reconciliations.
  • Oversee monthly stock takes and payroll processes, including Tronc calculations.
  • Prepare for the year-end audit.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in finance management, preferably within the entertainment or venue management sector.
  • Strong knowledge of SAGE and Xero accounting software and bank reconciliation processes.
  • Experience with VAT & CIS calculations and submissions.
  • Proficiency in managing payroll and cash flow.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to train and mentor team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of transactions.
