IQ Talent Solutions are delighted to be recruiting a Finance Manager for one of our most prestigious clients who are a global industry leader in the software sector.  The role is based in Central London where there is a hybrid working policy in place. The role will pay a competitive basic salary, bonus, car allowance and industry leading benefits.

The Finance Manager is responsible for financial reporting and controls activity. Working alongside a highly experienced Finance Manager and Finance Reporting Manager to deliver accurate and timely management reporting, statutory accounts, forecast and budgets, while ensuring compliance with regulations. Provide insightful financial analysis to support growth strategy from each Line of Business. Review end-to-end financial reporting process and collaborate with cross functional teams to continuously identify process efficiencies and control improvements.

What is expected of the Finance Manager?

  • Accuracy of internal reporting and analysis of the monthly financial and commercial results. Ensuring our clients deadlines on reporting are always met.
  • Review monthly cashflow forecasting, ensuring all entities operate within Group Treasury’s Borrowing Facility Limits (BFL). Pro-actively recommend forward looking ad-hoc BFL changes, where required, to safeguard against potential breaches.
  • Review of monthly and annual TAX.
  • Lead review of output including, but not limited to, Flash Reporting; Month end reporting; Journal approvals etc.
  • Create monthly Finance Lease Receivables (FLR) impairment provision journals using expected Loss model and analyse quarterly and annual impacts based on update of model inputs (Probability of Default / Loss Given Default / Macro Economic factors).
  • Collaborate with entities to meet their reporting requirements, including the tracking and reporting of SLAs. Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations ensuring any reconciling items are resolved on a timely basis.
  • Liaison with external auditors on any Group Audit requirements – Desktop reviews; FLR’s; Expected Loss Model provisioning; as well as any other ad-hoc topics that may arise.
  • Together with the Financial Controller complete the annual / quarterly Risk & Compliance questionnaires, collaborating to ensure SOX controls are documented and reported on as required.
  • Work with Finance Manager to ensure that all processes are mapped and interfaced. Developing recommendations for focus areas to improve process efficiency through automation.
  • Support planning of annual budget process

What we look for in a Finance Manager?

  • Qualified accountant (can be a European qualification)
  • Expert understanding of IFRS lease accounting & in-depth knowledge of IFRS 9 would be a preference, including specialised knowledge and or experience using Static Loss provisioning methodology.   
  • Financial control - demonstrated background in evaluating systems of financial control.
  • Detailed financial reporting experience for a Pan European Leasing business
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with large volumes of General Ledger reconciliations.
  • Previous experience in the preparation of Annual Statutory accounts for multiple countries.
  • Demonstrated track record of working within a J-SOX control environment.
  • Company TAX and VAT knowledge including experience of working in other European countries TAX and VAT environments –
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft applications - Advanced EXCEL is a pre-requisite, Power BI experience is also essential.
  • Experience of large volume data modelling, using analytical skills to provide the leadership with sound commercial analysis to identify business risks, as well as trends negatively and positively impacting the business, which in turn influence the strategic direction of the business and improve the overall financial performance.
  • Experience of working with Oracle, Hyperion and Smartview would be beneficial.
