We are seeking a dynamic and astute Commercial Finance Manager with proven experience in commercial finance within the hospitality industry. 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Sales & Marketing Partnership: Act as a trusted financial advisor to the sales and marketing teams, providing data-driven insights and analysis to optimize regional performance. This includes evaluating pricing strategies, commercial agreements, budgets, forecasts, and ROI to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and insightful commentary. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Pricing and Profitability: Evaluate product pricing strategies and monitor profitability by product, channel, and region. Identify opportunities to enhance profitability.
  • Cost Management: Analyse cost drivers and implement initiatives to optimise resource utilisation, particularly in sales and marketing.
  • Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and investment decisions. Assess the viability of new business opportunities and marketing campaigns.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in a commercial finance or FP&A role within the alcoholic beverage industry.
  • Professional Qualification (Preferred): A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) is highly preferred but not essential if you have exceptional industry experience.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical and financial modelling skills. Expertise in accounting and financial management software (Xero and Dext experience a plus). Advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Business Acumen: Deep understanding of business drivers and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges, with the ability to identify and implement improvements.
