Finance Manager - Growing Renewable Energy Investment Management Business in London.

£65,000 - £75,000 (depending on experience) + 20% bonus

Stanton House is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a Growing Renewable Energy Investment Management Business based in London on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role requiring the candidate to work in their London offices 3 days per week. The role has a diverse set of responsibilities focused on financial & management reporting, fund accounting, financial process improvement/enhancement and producing clear actionable financial information to advise senior business stakeholders. It will report directly into the Finance Director and work closely with the winder investments team to ensure financial performance is on track for their next period of significant growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of quarterly reporting including variance analysis & commentary at project and fund level with outsourced providers.
  • Assist in preparation of board packs and commentary on performance at project, fund and manager levels.
  • Responsible for undertaking timely and accurate monthly reporting including variance analysis and commentary for all manager group entities.
  • Responsible for the coordination of the year end audit for project, fund and manger including preparation of financial statement for manager group entities.
  • Cash flow management, including optimising working capital and maintaining liquidity forecasts at project, fund and manager level.
  • Coordination of tax compliance at project, fund and manager level.
  • Ensure monthly VAT filings are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Oversee quarterly regulatory filing due to FCA.
  • Ensure robust control environment is in place, identifying areas of concern and recommendations for mitigation.
  • Continuously assess and drive the improvement of processes within the finance function and across the business, ensuring that processes are appropriately documented and automated where possible.

To be suitable for this role you must have the following:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Ideally at least 2 years + post qualified experience
  • Track record of presenting financial information to senior stakeholders or board level stakeholders.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience in management and statutory reporting, including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Deep technical knowledge of IFRS and FRS
  • Proven track record in process improvement and establishing robust internal controls.
  • Proficient in financial systems.
  • Skilled in developing and implementing practical financial accounting solutions.
  • Fund accounting experience is particularly desirable
