FINANCE MANAGER

UP TO £45,000 PRO RATA

SOUTH WEST LONDON

PERMANENT PART TIME ROLE - 32 HOURS PER WEEK WITH HYBRID WORKING

I have partnered with a leading educational services provider to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to join their busy team. This role will work closely with the CFO in managing the smooth running of their finance department and small team. You will be either an AAT qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience Accountant looking to take the next step in your career. This is a great opportunity to become part of a successful and rapidly growing company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate two member of Finance team.
  • Take general ledger accounts to Trial Balance level.
  • Monthly deferred revenue calculation and associated journals
  • Monthly journals including accruals and prepayments.
  • Ensure effective Credit Control and chasing of overdue debts.
  • Effective cashflow management and Treasury function
  • Bank Reconciliation review.
  • Purchase Ledger and resolution of associated queries.
  • Manage payment runs.
  • Liaise with company’s payroll bureau, providing details of monthly changes and payroll reconciliation.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, ensuring compliance with VAT regulations.
  • Attend meetings with CFO and operational team.

Person Specification

  • Either AAT qualified, part qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • Strong management and staff motivation skills
  • Experience with standard accounting packages - Xero desirable
  • Intermediate Excel skills as a minimum
  • High levels of confidentiality, numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to use own initiative.
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
  • Team player, detail oriented and organised, with strong time management.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
