We are working with a fast-growing scale up company who are expanding their global presence. They are seeking a Finance Manager to assist their Chief Finance Officer in managing our Finance Practice. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient operations within the Finance Team and ensuring accurate financial records and procedures.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the finance function for UK and UAE based entities, including ledgers, accounts, forecasting, and budget preparation.
  • Ensure accurate reflection of revenue and costs in accounts within Xero and liaise with outsourced accountants for a smooth transition to in-house accounting.
  • Manage the annual statutory accounts production process efficiently.
  • Work closely with the CFO to establish a robust control environment with documented processes and controls suitable for rapid growth.
  • Serve as the lead contact for external audits and maintain essential financial metrics and investment reports.
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc reports, financial statements, and forecasts to support decision-making.
  • Manage month-end processes, including reconciliations and report preparations.
  • Develop financial policies, procedures, and audits to promote a secure control environment.
  • Support fundraising efforts by maintaining accurate investor records 
  • Develop new financial reports as needed and reconcile financial discrepancies through audits and analysis.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting and manage company liabilities such as insurance premiums.
  • Collaborate with People Services on payroll processes to ensure legal compliance and accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • ACA/ ACCA / CIMA Qualified with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Minimum one year’s experience as a Finance Manager
  • Proficiency in Xero with a good understanding of its reporting features.
  • Experience with Dext and Approvalmax is beneficial.
  • Experience in investor-led initiatives or funding rounds is highly advantageous.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and financial Excel functions.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping procedures and financial reporting.
  • Experience in an international company, ideally based in the UAE, is an advantage.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and high ethical standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
