As a Part or Newly Qualified Finance Manager, you will report to the Finance Director and play a key role in managing the financial operations of the company. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is studying towards, or who has recently gained a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

Description

The key responsibilities of this Finance Manager role will be:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in developing budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance, and providing variance analysis.
  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and expense reporting.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies, including VAT returns and statutory filings.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow to ensure optimal financial stability.
  • Monitor and manage company expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business decision-making.
  • Maintain and update financial systems, ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial data.
  • Assist in preparing financial models and projections to evaluate business opportunities.

Profile

The successful Finance Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in a similar accountancy role
  • Proficiency in financial software and Xero accounting (preferred)
  • Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
