A hugely impressive cutting edge PE backed media company are currently looking for a Finance Manager to join their team. The company have an international presence and using advanced technology to support the growth of their impressive client base. They have had successive years of double digit growth and though further expansion, looking to grow their finance team.
As Finance Manager you will be reporting to the Financial Controller. You will be responsible for the following:
- Lead the accounting for IFRS reporting
- Play a key part in month-end close and working closely with the accounting team to prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries and accruals.
- Perform variance analysis on financial statements and provide insights and analysis on actual versus budget and forecast
- Own the implementation and ongoing monitoring of effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
- Involvement in the annual audit processes (both Group audit and local statutory audits), liaising with external auditors and ensuring all audit requirements are met.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting functions and improve efficiency.
Role requirements:
- Audit qualification and background (ACA/CA/ACCA qualified ideally from a big 4 audit firm)
- Technical knowledge of IFRS
- Experience in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in financial software and ERP systems such as Netsuite.
This role would suit someone either looking to make their 1st move out of audit into industry or someone with 1-2 years experience in industry already who is looking to step up into a manager role.
