Description
The main duties the finance manager will need to carry out are as follows:
- Lead the finance team in daily operations.
- Managing the budgets of designated schools & professional service departments (PSD) and working closely with the respective budget holders in delivering targeted budgeted results
- Manage financial reports and statements.
- Advise on VAT and partial exemption VAT rules.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with senior management to set financial goals.
- Manage designated schools' enterprise income reporting and assist in their bids for research income, while identifying new income sources, opportunities to increase existing income lines and efficiency savings.
- Monitor and manage the organisation's budget.
- Conduct financial audits and present findings.
- Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures.
Profile
A successful Finance Manager should have:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- ACA Qualification is Essential
- Experience in preparing statutory financial accounts & interaction with external auditors or relevant work experience in an audit practice performing external audits
- Professional finance or accounting certification.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
- Experience in managing a finance team.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
