Finance Manager Job in Hoxton, London
An immediate start is required for a Finance Manager job in East London! A specialist architectural practice in London is looking for a Finance Manager to join them on a part-time, self-employed basis. If you're an experienced financial professional looking to work with a collaborative team passionate about historic building conservation, this could be a great fit!
You'll manage all financial aspects of the practice, working closely with the directors and external accountants. This is a flexible, part-time role (40-60 hours/month) ideal for someone with solid experience in accounting and bookkeeping, preferably within a design-led business.
Role & Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping: Daily use of Sage for purchase and sales ledgers
- Client Invoicing: Preparing, issuing, and reconciling invoices
- VAT & Payroll: Submitting VAT returns and liaising with payroll services
- Banking: Managing cash flow, reconciling bank accounts, and handling expenses
- Management Accounts: Preparing monthly accounts, sales forecasts, and debtors/creditors lists
- Support for Proposals: Providing financial data for project bids and proposals.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a finance role within an architectural practice or the construction sector
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software
- Strong bookkeeping skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and make independent decisions
- Experience with Mac systems is beneficial.
What you get back
- 35 - 40 per hour
- Part-time flexibility: 40 to 60 hours per month
- This role is fully office-based.
