Allen Lane are delighted to be assisting a London Borough with the recruitment of an interim Finance Manager on a 12 month interim basis. This key role will report to the Assistant Finance Director and will work across a couple of services such as Growth, Development and Social Care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with Service Managers to develop long-term financial sustainability strategies, advise on trends, and optimise resource use.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgets, provide advice, and manage performance across services.
  • Financial Planning & Budgeting: Support financial planning and annual budget setting Customer Focus: Build strong relationships and provide trusted financial advice.
  • Compliance & Leadership: Ensure financial regulations are met, provide leadership, and manage staff to achieve goals.
  • Staff & Financial Responsibilities: Lead a team and manage significant financial responsibilities.

About You:

  • Qualified member of CCAB such as CIPFA, CIMA, ACA,ACCA or equivalent
  • Experience in managing local government finances
  • Previous experience in business planning, financial management, and project delivery within Local Government.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and influencing skills.

This role will offer hybrid working with 1 day on site per week in London
