Equifind are excited to have joined up with a private equity firm in London, who are looking for a finance manager to join the business, to assist them during a time of transition and over the year-end period.

We’re looking for a finance manager, who comes from a SME background and is hands-on with everything they do. This is the type of role where you get stuck in from day one.

Key duties and responsibilities for this financial manager position include:

  • Be responsible for the monthly financial reporting
  • Be responsible for the preparation of management information for senior stakeholders including calculation of key metrics and quarterly board packs
  • Assist with the cashflow and working capital forecasting
  • Take ownership of the month end process for the Group
  • Maintain and develop the control environment while enhancing the financial framework for the future
  • Produce and maintain monthly reconciliations to substantiate the month end balances
  • Prepare the financial statements for corporate entities under IFRS
  • Manage the annual statutory audit for several of corporate entities within the Group
  • Integration of multiple accounting systems with relevant understanding of underlying data and financials
  • Ad hoc projects as and when requested by management

Experience & Qualifications

  • Fully Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 2-4 years PQE (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • 2-6 years’ experience in management reporting in a financial services background ideally private equity
  • Experience of IFRS
  • Strong audit background
  • Strong excel systems experience
  • Be a self-starter and deliver reports in a timely and accurate manner

About the business

The business is a leader in the international private equity space and has been going from strength to strength over the years.

It has a very professional and structured feel, having been a brand name in the market for many years. The environment is great to work in and the tenure is high as a result.

You will work closely with the head of finance with the daily and monthly duties a primary focus, in addition to any process enhancements to improve the day-to-day reporting framework. Getting the audit over the line, in a timely fashion, will be a key part of your role, too.

The business operates a policy of working three days in the office and the remaining WFH.

Daily Rate

This finance manager opportunity in London will pay in the region of £450-£550 per day, depending on experience and industry background.

This will be 3-6 months’ work with an opportunity to go longer or permanent if proves a good fit.

To start in January so no more than a couple weeks’ notice.
